What I'm sure of is that the rear speakers work physically, because when I test them in the Realtek program, they respond and produce sound.
Now my issue is that the rear speakers aren't working outside of the realtek program. I had trouble at first and had to enable the "Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously" option in the Realtek HD Audio Manager in order for my computer to utilize the speakers at all. I bought the logitech x-530 speaker system today.
